Treatment begins with a consultation and a detailed assessment of your teeth. Digital scans or impressions are used to plan each stage of movement.
You will receive a series of aligners, each slightly different from the last. These are worn daily and typically changed every 1–2 weeks, depending on your treatment plan.
Over time, gentle pressure gradually shifts your teeth into improved alignment.
Active Aligners may be suitable for:
- Mild to moderate crowding
- Gaps between teeth
- Minor bite alignment concerns
- General smile alignment improvements
A consultation is needed to confirm suitability, as not all cases are appropriate for aligner therapy.
Active Aligners offer a number of advantages:
- Clear and discreet appearance
- Removable for eating and cleaning
- Comfortable fit with no metal brackets
- Easier oral hygiene compared to fixed braces
- Predictable, planned treatment progression
Regular check-ups are scheduled to monitor progress and ensure teeth are moving as planned. Aligners must be worn consistently for the best results, typically 20–22 hours per day.
Good oral hygiene is important throughout treatment to maintain gum and tooth health.
